Diana Ibatuan gave a presentation on the beginning of the Asian Youth Club at Wapato MS. The beginning of ethnic students clubs and how diversity has grown into the International Food Festival.

Students and their parents, educators, educational support aids in Wapato and Yakima School District were invited to meet with the FAEW team from Western Washington. FAEW is working on API curriculum for private and public schools. FAEW wanted to have conversations with students from the Wapato SD.

Stephen Viernes gave a presentation and videos on a working Alaskan cannery and the specific jobs that Filipinos and the Wapato Boys were assigned. Living conditions, activities, and how his brother Gene Viernes and Silme Domingo sparked a movement to unionize the Alaska Cannery industry. He also spoke about the precedents that these lawsuits provided.
